When I first saw the news of the fires on Maui and in particular the utter destruction in the town of Lahaina I knew I had to do something. After extensive research and the awesome Carly Thomas (CSA's Graphic Designer since day 1) being able to put my vision to paper we came up with the Lahaina logo to represent the town and the Island of Maui. The color of the shirt is red to represent the Island of Hawaii for the Lehua flower. The color of the print is pink to represent the Island of Maui for the Lokelani Rose which is also incorporated into the logo. The word "Ho'omau" represented on the banner within the logo has a special meaning as well. It is the Hawaiian word for encouraging us to carry on, It means to be steady, constant, enduring, persevering, and unceasing. If we can help one person, one family, that will make a difference. We are pledging to donate 100% of proceeds from this shirt to the people of Lahaina HI with the hope to make that difference. The plan is to keep this shirt online for at least a year, maybe longer....
Thank you for taking the time to read this and more importantly thank you for your support.
